perfecting his craft in Qawwali music.

Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan specialises in Qawwali, Sufi, Ghazal and Classical music. He is also a music teacher who has many students throughout the UK and worldwide.

Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan is a 7th generation Ustad from a family of prestigious musicians. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan’s background originates from the classical Rampur Gharana School of Music. He is the son and student of the late Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan who was a famous classical music teacher and artist. Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan’s students include Sabri Brothers, Bashir Ahmed Khan, Humera Channa and also Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan is also the nephew of the late Ustad Mustaq Hussain Khan (music director), who was presented with the ‘King of Music’ award by the British government in the 1940’s for his work in producing music for over 100 Bollywood films including Bhaag Baan and Milap. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan has been performing alongside his father Ustad Latafat Hussain Khan and uncle Ustad Mustaq Hussain Khan since the age of 7 and has been mastering his craft for the last 45 years. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan was given the title of ‘Ustad’ which means ‘teacher’ by his for fathers and mentors for his expert knowledge in this field.

Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan and his group have performed all over the world in countries such as Dubai, Austria, Latvia, South Africa, India, Pakistan and many more. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan has many achievements throughout his career. He was part of the ‘All Faiths’ project directed by X Factor Judge and British Music Director Louis Walsh which was supported by American President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron. Ustad Ali Hafeez Khan also holds the record for the headline act to perform in front of the largest crowd (over 90,000 spectators) at a South Asian music festival.
